AIR COMPRESSORS
11th June 2008
As the name suggests the work of an air compressor is quite simple. It increases the amount and quantity of air in a specific space. When the air is packed the pressure of the air increases. This leads to creation of a force whi9ch can be used for a good number of purposes. The use of an air compressor is not only limited to industrial purposes but it can be also used for commercial and personal requirements.
The air compressors can be mainly divided into two parts – dynamic and positive displacement. The positive displacement air compressor works on a very simple principle. A chamber is compressed or filled with air and the other chamber acts like an emptying chamber. A dynamic air compressor however is a bit more complicated than the positive displacement air compressor. In the dynamic air compressor there is a presence of a rotating device. This device is used both for accelerating and decelerating the air. The speed and the velocity of the air are used to increase the pressure of the air and put it in to use. The most suitable example of the dynamic air compressor is the centrifugal air compressors. The work of an air compressor is just like the human lungs. When one has to blow air at something, the lungs is filled with air and when the pressure reaches its maximum the air is blown out. For example this is the process, which is put in to use while extinguishing the birthday candles.
The most common type of air compressors are the spray guns, sanders, staplers, nail guns etc. there are varied use to which the air compressors are put to. It can not only be used for altering the chemical composition while making a fertilizer but it can be used for manufacturing any good as well.
